Individualized Sodium Dialysate Sodium Prescription in Hemodialysis: Results from a Prospective Interventional Trial

The study results reveal that HD patients have a constant predialysis plasma sodium concentration - sodium set point. Dialysate sodium prescription individualized to each patient’s sodium set point was found to be safe and effective showing potential to improve LVH and cardiovascular mortality.
